Congratulations to Theresa Antonakis, Principal of Archbishop MacDonald Catholic High School, for being named the Canadian Association of Principals Distinguished Principal of the Year!
Principal Antonakis' incredible journey in school leadership began in 2001. Her passion and dedication have led to numerous innovative initiatives, including pioneering new technologies, integrating Ukrainian cultural programs, promoting inclusive academies, and supporting English Language Learners. Her leadership encompasses mental health support, Truth and Reconciliation efforts, and promoting equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
She was honoured at the CAP 2024 Conference in April. Our Board of Trustees was proud to celebrate her outstanding contributions to education at the public board meeting on May 29, 2024.
