Project Reset: Optional Initiative to Encourage Students to Find Digital Balance

October 8, 2024

Technology and media are ever-present in our lives, from smartphones and tablets to streaming services and YouTube, and they are here to stay. Living in a digital world offers numerous benefits, including connecting with loved ones, accessing a wealth of information and entertainment, and nurturing creativity. However, it also presents several challenges, such as its effects on mental health, sleep quality, personal safety, learning, and physical activity.

To address these issues, students in Grades 5-8 were invited to take part in the Project Reset Creative Project Contest. This optional initiative encourages students to raise awareness and convey messages about the consequences of unbalanced media use, the difference between meaningful and passive screen time, and their effects on health and well-being, through a medium of their choice.

Project Reset Vision: To build opportunities for children, schools, and families to discover digital well-being through education, advocacy, and community action.
