Transcription: You've done so much for me and I don't even know where to start. You've always made sure I'm included in everything we do, even when it might seem tricky because of my Duchenne muscular dystrophy. I'll never forget when you bought me a whistle and a volleyball rule book with your own money so I could be the referee during games.

Stacey Lintern, CEO of Muscular Dystrophy Canada spoke about how Jaxson's doctor at Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) reached out to tell her about the great work that June Conlon is doing to create an inclusive school experience.

Transcription: It is very rare that a neurologist will reach out to me at 6:30 in the morning and let me know that there is a special teacher that has made such a difference in one of his patient's lives. And you know, it's really remarkable. And we have a special award for you Ms. Conlon. You are our hero.

Jaxson received the Awareness Champion Award for his advocacy work. Stacey Lintern praised his courage to influence change.

Transcription: Jaxson has done such a great job in terms of awareness for Muscular Dystrophy Canada. And again teaching us that everyone has the ability to fully participate and that takes a lot of courage. So we wanted to recognize Jaxson for his wonderful ability and courage to influence change and again to teach us all that it's really important that everyone feels included and has the ability to participate. So Jaxson, thank you very much. We have an award for you.

Congratulations to June and Jaxson!
