St. Patrick Catholic School took part in a three-month pilot of the Scholastic resource "Passe à l'action pour la Réconciliation" with students in Grades 4 to 8.
The pilot of supporting Indigenous Education extended to other French Immersion classes in the school. Mme. Hoyne's students learned about nature, Mme. Malla and Mme. Oakes classes enjoyed an activity about appreciating and sharing their own personal stories, and finally, Mme. Anderson's class enjoyed a celebration of learning.
Staff and students alike engaged in a learning session to deepen their pedagogy and curriculum connections with Indigenous Education consultant for French.
