The first Rural Experiential Model (REM) in nearly six years kicked off in Dawson, bringing together students and educators for a week of hands-on learning. From March 31 to April 4, students from four rural Yukon communities - Dawson, Faro, Mayo and Carmacks - are taking part in the immersive educational experience, designed to provide equitable learning opportunities outside of Whitehorse.
The REM was developed to support rural students by expanding course options and fostering collaboration between students, educators, Elders and local experts.
