Congratulations to Seaquam students who won 7 out of a possible 18 awards in the high school category at the recent YRE Canada Competition, a national environmental education program that offers youth the opportunity to raise awareness and advocacy on local environmental/climate issues through critical thinking, creativity, and reporting.
There are three categories - video, photography and writing, and two age groups, 11-14 and 15-18. Participants investigate and report on environmental issues, and propose solutions, by using video, photography, or writing.
