His deep system knowledge is grounded in a broad range of leadership experience, including his time as Principal of both the Special Education and Student Services Department and the Elementary Student Success Department. These roles reflect his enduring commitment to student well-being, equity, and inclusive education.
Colleagues know Mr. Vallati for his steady presence, thoughtful leadership, and dry sense of humour. He brings a deep respect for relationships and a clear focus on creating environments where students and staff feel supported, seen, and able to thrive.
Mr. Vallati's appointment reflects the Board's on-going dedication to nurturing leadership that builds strong communities, prioritizes well-being, and embraces new beginnings rooted in faith, hope, and belonging.
Mary Donaghy, incoming Director of Education, who begins her term on July 1, said:

"I'm honoured to step into this new role and continue serving a community that leads with faith, innovation, and a shared purpose. I look forward to working alongside Mary, our Trustees, and the dedicated Executive Team at the OCSB to help every learner reach their full potential."
Tom D'Amico, Director of Education, added:
