Congratulations to the senior songwriting and recording class students at Eastwood Collegiate Institute (ECI) in Kitchener who took home first place in their category for the CBC Music Class Challenge. The students made use of their skills in several arts disciplines, including instrumental music, vocal music, strings, visual arts, dance, drama, and production technology.
Their performance of "The Returner" by Allison Russell earned the following feedback from judges: "Thank you for this beautiful, soulful performance, with a great arrangement that supports lovely instrument tone and a stellar vocal performance."
These ECI students join students from Laurel Heights Secondary School (LHSS) as winners of the CBC Music Class Challenge.
