CSFP is proud to announce the appointment of Marcella Cormier as the new Director General of Education, effective July 1, 2025.
Originally from Cap Saint-Georges, Marcella herself grew up in our schools, at École Notre Dame du Cap, and École Sainte-Anne. Since then, she has held several important roles: teacher, educational advisor, school principal, and more, until becoming our Deputy Director General of Education last year.
Her commitment to French-language education and her deep understanding of our reality make her ideally suited to take on this new challenge.
Congratulations, Marcella! And a big thank you to Peter Smith, who has filled this position with rigor and kindness this past year. He will remain with us until his retirement, scheduled for December 2025.
