The Saint Michael Mustangs made it two Niagara Catholic Athletic Association boys baseball titles in a row with a dramatic 1-0 win in extra innings over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The Mustangs finished the regular season with a 3-3 record before defeating the Saint Francis Phoenix 9-6 in the semifinals. The Irish, who led the standings with a 5-1 record, topped Blessed Trinity in the other semifinal.

"Last year I'd say we were one of the favourites but this year we weren't as dominant," Mustangs coach Steve Aymar said.
But the Mustangs got hot at the right time, parlaying the momentum from the semifinal win into a 1-0 victory in eight innings to capture the championship.
