Opening enrolment numbers reported to Trustees at the Regular Board Meeting of October 28, 2025 show the number of students attending St. Clair Catholic schools continues to climb.
At the elementary level, the number of students increased by 73 over September 2024; and at secondary schools, the number of students increased by 193. It is the third consecutive year of increases. Since 2023, enrolment has increased by 423 students in the elementary panel and by 440 students at secondary.
"This is a welcome trend, following the many years of declining enrolment during the late 1990s and early 2000s," says Amy Park, Associate Director - Corporate Services & Treasurer. "After stabilizing for a number of years in about 2016, we're now seeing growth, which is a sign of a healthy system."
The numbers presented to the Trustees are a snapshot in time. Enrolment numbers typically fluctuate throughout the school year.
Enrolment numbers are reported to the Ministry of Education as of October 31st and March 31st of each year.
