As part of our Jubilee 2025 celebrations, the Halton Catholic District School Board is proud to introduce our Heroes of Hope - individuals who embody the spirit of Humility in our communities.
Inspired by the Diocese of Hamilton's Jubilee campaign, Heroes of Hope highlights those who bring our faith to life by living out the values of Pilgrimage, Solidarity, Humility, and Human Dignity the four sub-themes of our Jubilee year.
Honouring the Spirit of Humility
For the months of September and October, we focused on the second theme, Humility. We asked each of our schools and board office to nominate one individual who demonstrates:
- Living out the Gospel values in a quiet, modest, and unassuming way;
- An awareness and understanding of God's presence in our lives;
- Treating others with respect and empathy, and prioritizing the needs of others;
- Their faith in action with gratitude; and
- The embodiment of HCDSB's Theological Theme: "What does the Lord require of you? Do justice, love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God" (Micah 6:8)
We are pleased to introduce the selected Heroes of Hope - students, staff, parents, and community members who remind us of the power of humility - quietly serving others, walking in faith, and inspiring compassion in our community.
