The Inaugural Meeting of York Region District School Board was held on Monday, December 1, 2025, at which time the officers of York Region District School Board were elected for the 2026 year. Trustee Ron Lynn was re-elected by acclamation as Board Chair.
The results of elections for other positions are as follows:

Learning, Equity and Well-Being Standing Committee Chair: Cindy Liang
Policy and By-Law Standing Committee Chair: Michael Chen
Ontario Public School Boards' Association - Board of Directors: Nadeem Mahmood and Dr. Elizabeth Sinclair
