Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools (RDCRS) is pleased to announce a new chapter for our Transportation Department with the appointment of two long-serving staff members to senior leadership roles.
Meet the New Manager: Kelli Pickett. Effective December 22, 2025, Kelli has assumed the role of Transportation Manager. Kelli is no stranger to the Division, having joined in 2013 as the Transportation Safety and Training Coordinator before becoming Assistant Manager in 2019.
Kelli brings a unique technical lens to the department as a journeyman welder and an industry veteran since 2008. She has played a pivotal role in:
- Ensuring compliance with the National Safety Code.
- Implementing Mandatory Entry-Level Training (MELT).
- Administering the Division's 2S Training Program.
Meet the Assistant Manager: Tanus Smith. Effective January 1, 2026, Tanus steps into the role of Assistant Transportation Manager. A staple of the department since 2008, Tanus is known for her dedication to continuous learning. Her journey through the division has seen her master nearly every operational role, including school bus driver, Class 2 instructor, dispatcher, routing specialist, and payroll administrator.
These changes follow the retirement of former Transportation Manager Shevon Coram. Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools extends its sincere gratitude to Mrs. Coram for her years of service and wishes her the very best in her retirement.
