Registration for the 2026 edition of the National Youth Ambassadors Forum (FNJA) is officially open until May 1st, 2026. As the flagship program of French for the Future, the FNJA will bring together 35 young people from across Canada from August 9 to 14, 2026, on the campus of the University of Moncton in New Brunswick for a week-long immersive experience rich in learning, discovery, and inspiring encounters.
The 35 selected young people, coming from across Canada and in grades 10 and 11 (secondary 3 and 4 in Quebec), will spend August 9-14, 2026, in an immersive week conducted entirely in French, filled with activities, games, and workshops. This unique experience will allow them to develop their leadership skills, discover the local Francophone community, and forge lasting bonds, while emerging enriched, transformed, and driven by a greater desire to get involved in their communities.
The organization covers all costs related to travel, accommodation, food, and activities; the students' only task is to learn how to become ambassadors.
Applications are open until May 1st, 2026. Interested young people are invited to submit their applications for a chance to be among the 35 ambassadors of the 2026 cohort.
The experience doesn't end that week. Once back in their communities, the French for the Future ambassadors will be tasked with organizing activities and events in French in order to share what they've learned and inspire their peers to express themselves in French and promote official bilingualism. "This program fully reflects the mission of French for the Future, which is to offer young people transformative experiences through landmark events like the FNJA. It prepares them to become the leaders of tomorrow, driven by a renewed passion for the French language and Francophone cultures," says Geneviève Gobeil, the organization's Interim Executive Director.
