In support of local residents pursuing post-secondary studies, Lethbridge County is once again offering scholarships and bursaries under two programs in 2026.
The County's Post-Secondary Bursary program, now in its seventh year, will award three students with $1,500 each. Eligible applicants will be residents of Lethbridge County entering their first year of post-secondary education at an accredited institution, including trade schools. Applicants do not have to be current high-school students and mature students are also encouraged to apply.
Consideration will be given based on academic standing and good citizenship demonstrated through community participation.
The Community Benefit Scholarship is also being offered through the County's collaboration with Potentia Renewables Inc. Stirling Wind Project. Up to two scholarships will be awarded at up to $2,000 each. Eligible applicants include County residents who are high-achieving, current high-school students planning to further their studies in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) within the following year.
The application deadline for both programs is June 1, 2026.
Eligibility requirements and applications are available online or at the County's Lethbridge administration office (#100, 905 4 Ave S).
