For Nial Both, a career in education, coaching university football and mentoring youth in the community allows him to give back to the community that has allowed him to flourish.
When he immigrated to Canada from South Sudan in 1988 at seven years old, Nial stepped into a Canadian winter, didn't yet speak English and was navigating the uncertainty that comes with moving to a new country.
After arriving in Kitchener, he began his education journey at Victoria Public School, transitioned briefly to Howard Robertson Public School, and eventually settled at Country Hills Public School. He continued at Laurentian Senior Public School for Grades 7 and 8 before attending Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute, where he graduated in 2001.
