On May 8, the Fort McMurray Public School Division (FMPSD) came together to celebrate a significant milestone: the 45th annual Employee Recognition Night. The evening served as a heartfelt tribute to the dedication, hard work, and unwavering passion of our incredible staff.
Held in a warm and celebratory atmosphere, the event honoured the enduring accomplishments of FMPSD's employees. Every day, these individuals strive to create engaging and inspiring learning environments, playing a pivotal role in shaping both the future of our students and the strength of our community.
Reflecting on this momentous occasion, Superintendent Annalee Nutter stated, "It is an honour to sit among peers every year to hear the many career stories often surrounding a short-term plan of an initial move to the city, which turns into growth of a family and settling down for multiple years and in some cases 45 years of service! Celebrating everyone, including our retirees, is bucket-filling and feels like a real family celebration."
This 45th-anniversary celebration recognized remarkable milestones, including impressive career longevity, well-deserved retirements, and outstanding contributions made throughout the past academic year. The evening provided a wonderful opportunity for attendees to connect, reflect, and share in the collective successes of the Division.
