WATERLOO REGION DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
WRDSB Celebrates Recipients of the 2025-26 Past-Directors' Bursary

June 5, 2026

At the Board of Trustees meeting on May 25, eleven Grade 12 students from across the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) received the 2025-26 Past-Directors' Bursary.

This year, each student received a $200 bursary. Students are eligible for the bursary if they are graduating, plan to pursue a career in the skilled trades through college or an apprenticeship, and have not already been selected to receive an award at their graduation ceremony.

Chair Maedith Radlein was honoured to recognize the recipients of the 2025-26 Past-Directors' Bursary for their dedication to advancing their learning pathways and entering careers in the skilled trades.

"On behalf of the WRDSB Board of Trustees, I wish you every success as you pursue a career in the skilled trades," said Radlein. "We are proud of all you have achieved during your time with the WRDSB and, together with your families and caregivers, we look forward to the positive impact you will make in your communities as you continue your post-secondary journey through college or apprenticeship programs."

Congratulations to the students who joined us to receive their bursary:
