Congratulations and welcome to Michael Harder, elected Trustee for Subdivision 5 of the Chinook School Division Board of Education! Subdivision 5 includes the school communities of Consul and Maple Creek; and Box Elder, Cypress, Downie Lake and Spring Creek Hutterian colonies. A special meeting be held on Monday, May 25, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., for the purpose of administering the Oath of Office for the newly elected Trustee representing Subdivision 5.
Michael Harder was born in Herbert Saskatchewan and lived most of his life on the prairies. He is currently the pastor of Consul Church of God, and holds a Master of Divinity degree. Education has been the largest part of his life, including eleven years of undergrad and graduate studies, four years as a college instructor and eight years as an English as a Second Language teacher in China. He has taught Kindergarten to Master's level students in both Canadian and cross-cultural cross-language settings.
