Jesse Siemens has been selected as the next Vice-Principal of Lucky Lake School starting in the upcoming 2026-27 school year.
"With strong roots in the community, a solid education, and years of teaching and leadership experience, Jesse is well prepared to step into this important role," stated Sun West Director of Education Darryl Seguin.

Mr. Siemens earned a Bachelor of Education (Elementary) from the University of Regina in 2016. He has also applied this year to a graduate program focused on teaching, learning, and leadership at the University of Regina.
Mr. Siemens brings several years of classroom experience to the position. From 2018 to 2025, he taught at Beechy School, where he worked as a Grade 5/6 homeroom teacher and taught a wide range of subjects, including math, English language arts, science, and the arts. He also led extracurricular activities such as badminton, track and field, and drama, showing his commitment to student life beyond the classroom.
In 2025, Mr. Siemens joined Lucky Lake School as a Grade 5/6 teacher. Since then, he has built strong relationships with students, staff, and families. He is known for being approachable, calm, and positive, which helps him create a respectful and supportive learning environment.
Mr. Siemens also has strong leadership experience. He has served as President of the Sun West Teachers' Association, where he organized meetings, worked with educators across the division, and helped guide important decisions. Through this role, he developed skills in communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Having grown up in Lucky Lake, Mr. Siemens understands the unique needs and strengths of the area. His background, combined with his teaching and leadership experience, makes him a natural fit for the role of Vice-Principal.
"I'm very excited to be the new Vice-Principal in Lucky Lake School," stated Mr. Siemens. "Lucky Lake has so many wonderful people and I'm looking forward to working with the staff, students, and community to continue and contribute to the amazing things happening. I'm grateful for the opportunity to give back and make a positive impact in the school," he concluded.
