Northern Lights Public Schools (NLPS) is pleased to announce that Larissa Langevin has been appointed Associate Superintendent - Inclusive Education and Student Supports.
"Larissa has been an integral part of the division's leadership team over the last three years, working collaboratively with schools, families and the community to maximize the resources available to support students," said Incoming Superintendent Jimmi Lou Irvine. "As Associate Superintendent she will continue to focus on ensuring all students have access to an equitable, high quality, inclusive learning environment."

Langevin has served as Director of Learning - Inclusive Education since the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year. Prior to joining the division leadership team, she was Assistant Principal at Glendon School, and had also served as Principal and Student Services Team Coordinator. In addition, Langevin worked at the division level as a Special Education Consultant and a Literacy Coordinator for Common Assessments.
"Having begun my journey with Northern Lights Public Schools in the classroom 30 years ago, I am deeply honoured to serve our division as Associate Superintendent." said Langevin. I look forward to collaborating closely with staff, families, and trustees to champion the success of our students. Together, we'll build on the incredible work happening across our school communities and discover opportunities to spark learning and growth!"
Northern Lights is currently in the process of reconfiguring its division leadership team due to the retirement of Superintendent Rick Cusson at the end of July. In addition to incoming Superintendent Jimmi Lou Irvine and Secretary-Treasurer Paula Elock, the new team will consist of two Associate Superintendents, four directors of learning, and four non-instructional directors.
