Students at Dinsmore Composite School have once again shown that big things can happen when a small but mighty school comes together for an important cause!

Dinsmore staff and students who put it all on the line for Terry Fox Fundraising!
This year, Dinsmore Composite School set an ambitious Terry Fox fundraising goal of $3,580 ($100 more than the school raised last year). Inspired in part by the visit from Fred Fox, Terry Fox's brother, last year, students and staff came up with some fun and creative ways to get everyone involved and help raise money for the Terry Fox Foundation.
One of this year's biggest incentives was the opportunity to get pied in the face! Students who raised $200 or more earned the chance to pie one of the school's senior students, while the student who raised the most money overall earned the ultimate honour pieing the school's new principal, Mr. Trevor Drury, right in the face!
And the students certainly delivered!
When the final donations were counted, Dinsmore Composite School had BLOWN its fundraising goal out of the water, raising an incredible $4,834.30 for the Terry Fox Foundation!
That means the school's 83 students raised an average of nearly $58 per student an incredible accomplishment for a small school community.
The school is incredibly proud of the generosity, enthusiasm and determination shown by its students. Their efforts are a wonderful reminder that you don't have to be a big school to make a big difference.
A huge thank you goes to the students, families, staff and community for supporting this year's Terry Fox campaign. Most importantly, thank you to the students for continuing to carry Terry's message of hope, courage and perseverance forward.
Dinsmore Composite School may be small, but its Wildcats have BIG hearts and this year's Terry Fox total proves it!
