Niagara Catholic congratulates eight members of the Class of 2026, who were recognized with a Father Fogarty Award at the 35th Annual Catholic Education Foundation of Ontario's Father Fogarty Awards Dinner in Toronto October 24.
The award is named for Father Patrick Fogarty, a beloved teacher and principal of Notre Dame College School and the founding principal of Denis Morris Catholic High School. Father Fogarty was a champion Catholic education across Ontario and campaigned for publicly funded Catholic education for all students. He died in 1985, shortly after the provincial government announced full funding for students to attend Catholic high schools beyond Grade 10.
Recipients for the Father Fogarty Awards are selected for being good students, their active involvement in school or community life, and for conduct that reflects the values of a Catholic education.
Congratulations to this year's Father Fogarty Award recipients from Niagara Catholic:

- Zoe Ferrelli (Denis Morris Catholic High School)
