Board Elects New Chair and Vice-Chair

At its Inaugural Meeting of the Board of Trustees on Monday, December 7, 2015, Jim McDade was acclaimed to the position of Chairperson of the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board. A retired Principal and Special Education Coordinator, Mr. McDade has been a part of the Huron-Perth system since 1974 while his experience as a trustee dates back to 2008. This is his third term as Chair of the Board. McDade stated he was very honoured and humbled to be elected as Chairperson of the Huron-Perth CDSB. "As we move forward, the Board is committed to maintaining and strengthening the Catholicity of our schools while continuing its commitment to academic excellence. As our schools enter this Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy, we are reminded that in order to reach out to the marginalized in our counties and throughout the world we must put special emphasis on the importance of the spiritual and corporal works of mercy as our call to service and justice. What better place to celebrate this Jubilee Year of Mercy than in our Catholic schools." Trustee Amy Cronin was acclaimed to the position of Vice-Chair. This is her third term as Vice-Chair.
