Aspen View Public Schools is pleased to announce that the position of vice principal of Vilna School for the 2016-17 school year will be shared by Paul Jespersen and Colin McIntosh.
Paul has taught at Vilna School since 2011 in a variety of positions, most recently at the Vilna Outreach Academy. Previous experiences that have helped prepare him for his new role include teaching abroad, experience with First Nations communities, and employment as both a child care worker and a therapeutic youth worker. Already a well-respected member of the Vilna community, Paul has recently started his Masters of Education program.
Colin is new to Aspen View Public Schools, joining us from Northern Lights School Division. After earning his teaching degree, he spent time in Ontario as a permanent substitute teacher before moving west to teach in the Yukon. Colin's experience includes time as an educational assistant, teaching art, inclusive education and counselling. He has completed a number of specialized courses to complement his teaching degree, and has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Education.
