Welcome Father Terry Sawchuk

Superior North Catholic District School Board is absolutely thrilled to have Father Terry Sawchuk as our very own "Chaplain."

Fr. Terry Sawchuk recently arrived in our community to begin his new assignment as Parish Priest of St. Martin of Tours in Terrace Bay, Holy Angels in Schreiber, as well as, the missions of St. Jerome in Pays Plat and St. John Berchmans, in Rossport.  

Since being ordained as a Priest for the Diocese of Thunder Bay in 2010, he has served as Pastor of St. Peter's Church in Thunder Bay.  Having grown up in rural Thunder Bay (South Gillies), Fr. Terry was a graduate of St. Patrick High School, before going on to obtain degrees in Philosophy and Theology through St. Peter's Seminary and the University of Western Ontario.

He is grateful for the ongoing support of his parents, nine siblings, and extended family, and is excited about serving our local communities.  

Fr. Terry looks forward to working with the Superior North Catholic leadership team, staff, families and students of our local Catholic Schools.  His love for the outdoors is sure to go well with the rugged beauty of our local terrain.
