The Superintendent and governing Board of the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board are pleased to announce Jeanne Saulnier, CPA, CMA, MBA, will join AVRSB as Director of Finance.
Saulnier brings a wealth of experience to this role. Most recently, she has served in leadership positions with the Nova Scotia Health Authority, in addition to past experience in the private sector.
"Her experience in the health sector, particularly in areas related to project management and reporting systems, will be invaluable in managing similar processes and systems in education," said Roberta Kubik, AVRSB Superintendent of Schools.
Saulnier is noted as an effective and influential communicator with a collaborative leadership style. She is passionate about working in teams and taking a collaborative approach in her work.
It is anticipated Saulnier will begin her official position with AVRSB on January 31, 2017, pending formal ratification by the governing Board. She takes on the Director of Finance role from Stuart Jamieson, who is retiring from AVRSB following 38 years of dedicated service, beginning with the Annapolis District School Board in 1978.
