The senior girls volleyball team from St. Mary High School has experienced an historic season. Coming off of regular season tournament play that resulted in three gold, one silver, as well as two bronze medal finishes, the girls set themselves up for playoff success.
During the provincial tournament weekend on November 17-18, 2017 the team went undefeated in pool play. When playoffs began, the girls' momentum continued to shine, as they defeated Regina Luther and Prince Albert Carlton in straight sets. Faced with Saskatoon's Bishop James Mahoney in the final, the girls competed in a thrilling three-set match that resulted in provincial gold for the Marauders.
This win marks the first time in St. Mary High School history that a senior girls volleyball team has achieved a 5A provincial gold medal.
Congratulations to the entire SMHS Sr. Girls Volleyball Team and coaches!!
