Hants East Rural High School's Grade 11 student, Jacob MacNeil, was selected as a finalist in the inaugural Minister's Entrepreneurship Award of Excellence. The award was created by Education and Early Childhood Development in partnership with the Business Education Council to recognize students in grades 6-12 who show an interest in entrepreneurship.

On Wednesday, April 25th, Jacob pitched his business idea to a judging panel. Jacob's two-year-old business, MacNeil Media, focuses on helping small businesses grow and gain customers using high-quality media production at a low cost.
