Join us in welcoming Cathy Tymko as the new Superintendent/CEO of Sunrise School Division, effective August 1.
In March, we announced the retirement of Superintendent Barb Isaak. Following the announcement, we immediately began the recruitment process to find a candidate to continue Barb's work building and nurturing relationships with staff, schools and communities.
Cathy Tymko has worked in our school division as a teacher, principal and - most recently - as assistant superintendent. In her role, she has lead our divisional journey of improvement, innovation and accountability within our schools and communities. She has demonstrated a deep commitment to our communities, a passion for educational leadership and a dedication to each and every student.
As she works closely with Barb in the next few months, we are confident that Cathy will transition into her new role seamlessly and provide excellent leadership and guidance for our staff and students.
Cathy will assume the role of Superintendent/CEO of Sunrise School Division effective August 1, 2018.
We are currently looking to recruit for Cathy's assistant superintendent role.
