It's been a series of successes for DW Poppy student, Ethan Foster. On May 25 and 26, he won the Senior Boys Decathlon Gold Medal at the 2018 BC High School Combine Events Track & Field Championships in Surrey.
On May 31, he then participated in the BC Track and Field Championships. There he was awarded first in the Senior Boys' Decathlon, first in the Senior Boys' Pole Vault (at 4.2 metres), fourth in Senior Boys' Long Jump (at 6.5 metres), and ninth in Senior Boys' 110m hurdles.
Given his strong achievement, Ethan is currently ranked #1 in Canada's Under 20 Decathlon, and #2 in Canada's Under 20 Pole Vault. He is awaiting details now to see if he is going to become #1 for Pole Vault.
As if these accolades weren't enough, there is a possibility that Ethan could be selected for the Canadian team at the upcoming Pan American Junior Championships this summer in Ottawa.
