The Board of Education for Coast Mountains School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Raymond (Ray) McDonald to the position of Secretary Treasurer effective January 7, 2019.
Ray brings more than 30 years of business experience to the role of Secretary Treasurer. He is a highly respected executive within B.C.'s private sector having served in the positions as Corporate Secretary and Treasurer, Vice President Finance, and Corporate Controller with organizations based in Port McNeill and Port Alice.
The Secretary Treasurer plays an important and key role in the operation of Coast Mountains School District. Ray's extensive experience as an effective and highly competent team player with a wealth of financial expertise and a solid understanding of how systems work will prove invaluable in his new role.
He is a Chartered Professional Accountant certified by the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia. He also holds certification as a BC General Accountant and a Diploma of Technology-Finance from British Columbia's Institute of Technology.
Ray is eager to begin to form the relationships that will make it possible to continue the good work already taking place in the school district ensuring a strong future for Coast Mountains' learners and schools.
Coast Mountains School District is fortunate to have an individual of Ray's calibre joining the District Leadership Team.
