Ford Rice, currently the Regional Executive Director for the Strait Regional Centre for Education, has accepted a position as Executive Director of the recently formed Public School Administrators Association of Nova Scotia (PSAANS). Mr. Rice will begin his new position on Monday, January 7, 2019.
The Acting Regional Executive Director will be Paul Landry, who currently is the Director of Operations (Acting). A posting to permanently fill the position of SRCE's Regional Executive Director will be made in the new year.
The Strait Regional Centre for Education extends sincere thanks to Mr. Rice for his strong leadership and dedicated service to students, families, staff and school communities in the Strait Region for the past six and a half years.
Cathy Montreuil, Deputy Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, announced the staff changes to the SRCE school community earlier today, December 20, 2018.
