Horizon School Division No. 67 is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Darryl Moser as Principal of D.A. Ferguson Middle School commencing with the 2019-2020 school year.
Darryl has been sharing his education, skills and abilities with Horizon School Division for the past eighteen years: starting out in 2001 as a teacher in Hays School, then taking on the principalship of Hays School in 2004, and then transferring to his current role as principal of Taber Central Elementary School in 2007 and now taking on this new opportunity as the principal of D.A. Ferguson Middle School.
Darryl enjoys coaching athletics and watching sporting events, in the community, at all levels. He says that although he cannot carry a tune or play an instrument, he loves to watch and listen to those that can. In his spare time, Darryl enjoys relaxing with his family and boating and fly-fishing the streams and rivers in the mountains.
Darryl states, "I am so incredibly excited to be joining the staff and students at D.A. Ferguson Middle School. As an educator and leader, I strive to make all decisions based on what is best for the students that I have the privilege to work with. I have always loved the energy and excitement that is part of working with students at the Middle School level. It is an exciting time in the lives of a young person and their school experience is a critical component that helps them to reach their potential. I look forward to doing all that I can to give every student the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop confidence in who they are and what they can become. D.A. Ferguson is just completing a long renovation and it is so exciting to be heading into an updated facility that is ready to shine. I am honored to be part of the team!"
The Board of Trustees is confident that the students, staff, and community of D.A. Ferguson Middle School will benefit from Mr. Moser's passion for creating opportunity for students dream big, while providing quality education to all, in a student centered environment.
Please join us in congratulating Darryl on his new assignment.
