At the March 5 Board meeting, Edmonton Public Schools recognized five outstanding nominees for the Edwin Parr Award for first-year teachers.
The nominees were:

- Breana Burns, John Barnett School
- Steven Inch, Mount Royal School
- Jordan McGee Pearson, Hilwie Hamdon School
- Nicole Reeves, McKernan School
