CONSEIL SCOLAIRE CATHOLIQUE NOUVELON
Two CSC Nouvelon teachers recognized for their exceptional contributions

June 25, 2019

At its annual recognition evening that was held on Friday, June 21, the Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon heralded the exceptional contributions of two of its staff members: Chantal Gauthier, teacher at École secondaire du Sacré-Cœur (Sudbury) and Angèle Boucher, teacher at École Notre-Dame-du-Sault (Sault Ste. Marie). This distinction, which is awarded to two employees each year, recognizes individuals who truly stand out in their role.

Chantale Gauthier believes in teaching by example. She has distinguished herself by her constant willingness to give of her time to benefit ÉS du Sacré-Coeur students and peers, whether in her role as counsellor in the Indigenous Club, through her support for a wide variety of extracurricular activities or her involvement in community fundraising.

Angèle Boucher stands out for her dedication to student success, which is clearly visible in the impressive number of hours she devotes to supporting the École Notre-Dame-du-Sault robotics teams, whose presence was notable again this year at regional, provincial and international competitions. Her warm personality, energy and Francophone pride paired with her outstanding work ethic have made her a peerless teacher and colleague.

"We are very lucky to have employees like Chantal and Angèle who give themselves, heart and soul, for their students and their school," stated Ms. Lyse-Anne Papineau, Director of Education at the CSC Nouvelon. "It is extremely important for us to take the time to honour the exceptional individuals who contribute to the high standards of the Catholic, French-language education offered in our schools."
