Birchland Elementary School welcomed parents, students and staff to a new school year and announced a new partnership with Port Coquitlam Fire Fighters Charitable Department at the Community Barbecue on September 12, 2019. An initial $1500 was donated to support Birchland Elementary's Breakfast Program and the Port Coquitlam Fire Fighters will continue to financially support more of the school's initiatives throughout the year.
