On October 25, 2019, PROCEDE announced the appointment of the new Director of Business Training Services, Mr. Charbel Mourad. PROCEDE, Provincial Association of Continuing Education Directors, English, supports the development and advancement of English language adult education and vocational training in Quebec, and represents Quebec's nine English language school boards.
Mr. Charbel Mourad has extensive knowledge and expertise in the Business Services field, and holds strong leadership skills with a vision of evolving Business Training Services in all nine English School Boards of Quebec. His experience as Coordinator for Lester B. Pearson School Board allowed him to develop various business and community partnerships over the years. He developed LBPSB's recognition of acquired competencies (RAC) process, and made it among the most active in Quebec. The Ministry of Education has appointed him as an expert advisor in RAC. He obtained the designation and is responsible for the Centre of Expertise for RAC by the Ministry of Education.
Mr. Charbel Mourad has in depth knowledge of Quebec's educational system. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Education at Concordia University. He holds a Master's in Public Policy and Public Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science.
The PROCEDE mandate for the Director of Business Training Services 2019-2023 is to develop a strategic plan and to carry forth the collaboration and implementation of business services for the English community within the province.
