Dominic Lodge, a first-year teacher from Ecole Pine Grove Middle School was awarded the 2019 Edwin Parr Award

Grande Yellowhead Public School Division's Board of Trustees were thrilled as Dominic Lodge, a first-year teacher from Ecole Pine Grove Middle School in Edson, was awarded the Alberta School Boards Association's (ASBA) 2019 Edwin Parr Award for Zone 2/3 at the ASBA Fall General Meeting and Awards evening on Sunday, November 17, 2019.

Lodge was the Board's chosen nominee from an excellent pool of first-year teachers at GYPSD. Board Chair Brenda Rosadiuk said, "It was an honour to put forth Dominic as our final candidate for this year's nomination.

He is highly regarded for his differentiated instruction practices and his strong belief in the importance of the classroom environment in strengthening the power of student/teacher relationships.

He is an excellent role model and a great representative of Grande Yellowhead Public School Division."
