New NLTA President Elected

Trent Langdon has been declared elected as President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers' Association for 2021-23 after a province-wide electronic vote. He begins his two-year term of office on August 1, 2021. 

Mr. Langdon is currently Vice-President of the NLTA and a guidance counsellor at St. Peter's Junior High in Mount Pearl.

The positions of NLTA President and Vice-President have been elected by province-wide vote among the NLTA membership since 2003. The vote for NLTA President took place during the week of November 23-27, 2020 and was the first electronic vote undertaken by the NLTA for President.

Maureen Doyle-Gillingham is the incoming NLTA Vice-President. The remaining members of the 2021-23 Provincial Executive Council will be elected by the delegates to the NLTA Biennial General Meeting to be held in 2021.
