Trustees re-elect Sylvie Payeur as Chair of the Board and Claudette Gleeson as Vice-Chair

At their annual organizational meeting held Saturday, December 5th, 2020, Conseil scolaire de district catholique des Aurores boréales (CSDCAB) trustees re-elected Sylvie Payeur as Chair of the Board and Claudette Gleeson as Vice-Chair.

Trustees Payeur and Gleeson have occupied these positions since 2010 and are strongly committed to French-language Catholic education in Northwestern Ontario. "I thank my colleagues for once again placing their trust in me and I am committed to continuing the great work that we have accomplished together," said Ms. Payeur. "This past year has not been easy, but we have never lost sight of our priority: the well-being and success of our students."

Ms. Gleeson is also pleased to have been re-elected as Vice-Chair: "It is with great pleasure that I support our Chair and continue the work already accomplished to ensure that our schools are safe, innovative and welcoming," said Trustee Gleeson.

Director of Education, Lucie Allaire, is pleased that the Board will continue to benefit from the outstanding leadership of Ms. Payeur and Ms. Gleeson. The inaugural meeting is also an opportunity for Ms. Allaire to review the past year's accomplishments. "The publication of my annual report is always a moment of pride and an opportunity to recognize the remarkable dedication of all staff members in achieving our Board's mission. This year has required exceptional commitment from our staff, students and parents. You will see in the report how strong, resilient and committed our school community is."
