The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) is excited to launch our annual United Way campaign to raise funds for community initiatives to combat poverty, support youth and help people overcome challenges across the region.
The campaign runs until November 26, 2021. OCDSB employees have the opportunity to donate to the United Way or the registered charity of their choice through payroll deduction, credit card or PayPal and can engage in fundraising events and activities..
Last year, in the midst of a pandemic, the OCDSB and its employees contributed more than $60,000. Funds raised supported vital programs and initiatives that helped at-risk children start school ready to learn and have a safe place to go after school to learn new skills.
The OCDSB is committed to building a culture of caring and social responsibility. Beyond the direct impact of supporting community programs and services, engaging with this campaign is also a way to teach students the importance of philanthropy and giving back to their community.
