The OCDSB is pleased that the Ministry of Education has announced it will provide $600,000 in funding for the expansion of childcare at W.E. Gowling Public School. This will provide an additional toddler room and 1 preschool room through the province's Early Years Capital Program. The Third Party Provider at the school is Annavale Headstart Nursery School-Carlington Community Health Centre.
This project was proposed by the OCDSB along with Annavale and the City of Ottawa, to meet the needs of the families in the Carlington community.
Further details regarding construction and planned opening dates will be shared once planning has further progressed.
