LAKEHEAD UNIVERSITY
University's Electrical Engineering program scores top marks

July 7, 2023

Lakehead University's Electrical Engineering degree program has received the maximum possible accreditation from a recent review conducted by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB).

The Electrical Engineering program has received accreditation for a full six years, up to June 30, 2029.

"This accreditation represents a ringing endorsement of Lakehead's Faculty of Engineering. It celebrates our commitment to delivering high-quality professional programs that are academically rigorous and align with the needs of industry," said Dr. Janusz Kozinski, Dean of Engineering.

Lakehead's Department of Electrical Engineering offers outstanding undergraduate and graduate education, along with world-class researchers.

"We are very proud to receive this latest approval from our regulatory body," Dr. Kozinski added.

Lakehead's undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering was first established in 1974, and it has achieved accreditation ever since.

The CEAB, part of Engineers Canada, accredits Canadian undergraduate programs in engineering.

Students who receive a degree from an accredited engineering program meet the academic requirements needed to become licensed with Canada's engineering regulators.
