Bioscience Association Manitoba and The University of Winnipeg Celebrate Most Promising Bioscience Student of the Year Award with Jasmyne Storm

Bioscience Association Manitoba (BAM) is pleased to present the Most Promising Bioscience Student of the Year award to The University of Winnipeg student Jasmyne Storm.

"BAM is honoured to name Jasmyne Storm as the 2023 Most Promising Bioscience Student. BAM is committed to supporting and acknowledging outstanding individuals who contribute significantly to their fields. Jasmyne's accomplishments reflect the high standards of excellence we value, and we are excited to be a part of her journey. We know the future is bright with people such as Jasmyne and her work," said Andrea Ladouceur, President of BAM.

Jasmyne Storm is a second-year graduate student at The University of Winnipeg. She has been selected for the award in recognition of her exceptional academic accomplishments, leadership qualities, and dedication to investigating early life stress and the pro-survival effects of human milk-derived extracellular vesicles. Her work will help study how maternal factors impact pre- and post-birth development and discover new therapies to reduce long-term developmental impacts in children. BAM is committed to fostering excellence in education and acknowledging the remarkable talents within our student community in Manitoba, like Jasmyne.

"We are delighted BAM has chosen Jasmyne to celebrate her achievements through the Most Promising Bioscience Student of the Year award."

The Most Promising Bioscience Student of the Year award will be officially presented at the "Bridging Innovative Opportunities in Manitoba" BAM Awards Dinner on March 7, 2024, in the Grand Ballroom at the Fort Garry Hotel. The event will feature the remarkable achievements of the bioscience industry and celebrate the impact from the past year.

Alongside the presentation to Jasmyne Storm, three additional awards will be given for:

  1. Outstanding Leadership in Bioscience of the Year
  2. Emerging Bioscience Company of the Year
  3. Bioscience Company of the Year
