BCIT announces two new Directors to the BCIT Foundation Board

BCIT is pleased to announce that Brent Charleton and Sally Parrott have joined the BCIT Foundation Board of Directors.  Brent and Sally were elected by BCIT Foundation members at the 26th Annual General Meeting held on September 20, 2024.

Brent Charleton is the CEO and President of EnWave Corporation, a global leader in the innovation and application of vacuum microwave dehydration of organic materials. Under his leadership, the company has licensed their intellectual property to more than 50 food manufacturers located throughout 25 countries globally, including Pepsico, Dole, Calbee, Perdue, Arla and the U.S. Army.

Brent's accomplishments include being named a Business in Vancouver Top 40 Under Forty Award winner (2019), an inductee to the Basketball B.C. Hall of Fame (2020), and a recipient of the BCIT Alumni Association Outstanding Student Leadership Award (2010).

Brent holds a Marketing Management Diploma from BCIT, a degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University, and a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation. He is also a member of CFA Society Vancouver.

Sally Parrott is an Executive Vice President at Bosa Properties Inc. (BPI), a leading provider of human-centered solutions for property development and management, head-quartered in Vancouver, Canada. Sally leverages her expertise in brand and digital development, strategic market expansion and executive leadership to drive profitable growth, transformation, and innovation in high growth organizations. At BPI she oversees the Customer, Technology/Data and Corporate Strategic Planning divisions.

Prior to BPI, Sally was the Senior Vice-President of Marketing at Aritzia.  A member of the executive, she drove the growth of the Aritzia Brand through US expansion pre and, then again, post IPO.

Sally began her career in Brand Management at Procter & Gamble, holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and is an alumna of Harvard Business School.

Brent and Sally are honoured to take on their new positions on the BCIT Foundation Board and look forward to working with BCIT leadership and all members of the BCIT community.
