King's is pleased to welcome Karen Thomson to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), overseeing Alumni, Foundation and Development; Communications and Marketing; and Physical Plant. In this limited-term position, Thomson will support key initiatives aimed at enhancing our institutional priorities and will provide strategic guidance to Dr. Robert Ventresca, President (Interim) and Professor, to help strengthen operations and ensure long-term sustainability in support of our mission.
Karen is uniquely qualified for this role. She has a proven track record with almost two decades of visionary leadership in our sector including demonstrated achievements in strategic enrolment management and operations, finance and administration. Prior to joining Kings, Karen worked at George Brown College for 15 years in a variety of positions including Vice President of Corporate Services, Vice President of Student Life, Alumni and Marketing, and Vice President of Strategic Enrolment Management and Marketing. She is passionate about education and is excited to return to King's.
