Louis-César Pasquier appointed director of INRS's Centre Eau Terre Environnement

Louis-César Pasquier takes up his new position as director of the INRS Eau Terre Environnement Research Centre, building on his experience as interim director since last October.

A member of INRS for 16 years, Mr. Pasquier has grown within the organization with commitment and determination. Successively a student, research professional, and then professor since 2017, he has distinguished himself through his work in environmental decontamination, CO2 sequestration and recovery, as well as through his scientific and administrative leadership. 

His vision for the INRS Eau Terre Environnement Research Center is based on an ambitious and structured scientific program, consistent with INRS's strategic orientations. He aims to strengthen the Center's position in environmental sciences through a renewed program, support for the next generation of professors, and greater openness to the community.

Convinced that INRS must modernize its management practices to better support research, Mr. Pasquier is committed to promoting a work environment based on trust, belonging, and pride, while valuing the essential role of support staff. He intends to emphasize the importance of teamwork, convinced that it is by joining forces that we can build the Center's future. His mandate will also place great importance on student training, the promotion of research results, and the Center's outreach, particularly through scientific mediation and public engagement activities.
