BROCK UNIVERSITY
Brock, Dublin City University partner to expand student exchange opportunities

September 2, 2025

A new global learning opportunity is giving students at Brock University and Dublin City University (DCU) the chance to share classrooms and cultures.

Brock and DCU have taken a significant step in their long-standing relationship by signing a new Campus-Wide Student Exchange Agreement, opening international learning opportunities to students across all faculties.

The five-year agreement expands on nearly a decade of collaboration between the two institutions.

Since 2015, Brock's Goodman School of Business and DCU have partnered on an international dual degree program, enabling students to earn both a Bachelor of Arts in Global Business from DCU and a Bachelor of Business Administration Co-op from Brock.

The program's popularity, strong academic outcomes and collaborative spirit led to its renewal in 2023, reinforcing both universities' commitment to global education and student mobility.

"We're delighted to strengthen our relationship with Brock University through this new student exchange initiative," said DCU International Mobility Manager Catarina Ramalho. "Expanding our collaboration beyond Business studies into other academic areas reflects our shared commitment to providing students with rich international learning experiences and preparing them for global careers."

Ramalho met with Rox Chwaluk, Brock's Manager of International Learning Programs, to explore new opportunities for academic collaboration.

Those discussions, led by Brock International, quickly moved toward a student exchange model that would extend beyond Business to include other disciplines.

On July 28, representatives from both institutions formally signed the agreement, marking a new chapter in their partnership.

"Brock University is proud to expand our longstanding partnership with Dublin City University through this new campus-wide student exchange agreement," said David Begg, Associate Vice-President, International. "Building off the strong relationship that was built by our Goodman School of Business, this agreement opens doors across all faculties for transformative global learning and cross-cultural collaboration."

The new exchange program will allow students from any Brock faculty to study at DCU, immersing themselves in Ireland's rich cultural landscape while benefiting from strong academic programming.

"Brock students will be thrilled by the opportunity to study on exchange at DCU," Chwaluk said. "With strong academic program alignment and a vibrant cultural experience, this partnership opens exciting new pathways for global learning. It enriches students on both sides through cultural exchange and the development of global competencies, reflecting the depth and reciprocity of the collaboration."

Likewise, DCU students will have the opportunity to experience Brock's campus and Canadian culture, fostering deeper cross-cultural understanding between the institutions.
